During this “STAY AT HOME” time with your family, don’t forget to include recreational activities into your daily routine.  Play a board game, make a family scrapbook, write a short story, do a craft project, teach your pet a new trick, play some music and dance or put on an exercise video and work out as a family.
Remember these safety tips:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60% alcohol if soap and water is not available.
  • Stay at home when you are sick.
  • Keep a 6 foot distance from others in public.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the garbage. If a tissue is not available, cough into your elbow or sleeve, not your hand.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched object and surfaces.
  • Be sure to thoroughly wash hands (20 seconds with soap and water) when you return home.
Who We Are
The Clifton Recreation Department is a branch of the City of Clifton designated to service the recreation, health and fitness needs of the community.  Over the years we have increased and improved the park infrastructure, increased the quantity and quality of our programs, won several Awards.  We provide areas of play at our 39 parks encompassing over 210 acres.  The programs provided by the Department are available for preschool through senior citizens and encompass: educational, cultural, social, leadership, athletic, fitness, citizenship, and volunteer opportunities.  Each year our department creates a motto for that represents our recreation goals for the whole year. The 2020 Motto is… "A 20/20 Vision for Clifton". Here is a note from the Recreation Supervisor Debbie Oliver.
