Behavior Policy & Parental Code of Conduct

Behavior Policy
In keeping with our program goals, we encourage fun for all of our participants. Certain rules are necessary to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all individuals. Participants are required to follow all established rules & regulations. If misconduct persists and rules are not followed, appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken. In addition, participants are expected to:

  • Show respect for all other participants, staff and volunteers
  • Refrain from using foul language or causing bodily harm to other participants, volunteers or staff
  • Show respect for equipment, supplies and facilities
Parental Code of Conduct
Parents are welcomed to attend their child’s class on the first and last day. Please do not remain in the classroom after dropping off your child. This is in your child’s best interest, as continual interruptions tend to affect participants’ attention spans and inhibit the establishment of peer relationships. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Clifton Recreation Department follows the state of New Jersey's Model Athletic Code of Conduct and Model Policies Regarding Banning a Person from a School or Community Sponsored Youth Sports Event.
