The Art of Carving Soap Workshop at the Clifton Arts Center

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Spring is a great time to learn a new way to be expressive in art! Join the Clifton Arts Center for a fun and creative soap carving introduction designed specifically for elementary-aged children. In this hands-on workshop, young artists will learn the art of sculpting using simple tools and a bar of soap. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, kids will unleash their imagination as they carve different designs and shapes, developing fine motor skills and fostering creativity in a supportive environment. The goal of our time together is that each child will leave with a new ability that they can continue to explore independently. All supplies will be provided.  Pre-registration is required.  For students in grades 3-8. Instruction by: Dan Gallagher, soap, wood, and golfball carver, with over 25 years of experience. Also the current president of the North Jersey Woodcarvers and an elementary school teacher of 19 years. Limit is 25 per class.
